A comprehensive and readable guide to pricing and the role pricing can play in strategic planning. Extremely interesting, and challenges some common misconceptions.

Dominic Shellard for Arts Council England – Economic Impact of theatres, 2004
The one that started it all – Dominic Shellard’s groundbreaking 2004 study includes the Shellard Formula which remains the most widely used economic impact formula.

Auckland City Performing Arts & Theatre District studies:
Professional Performing Arts Venue Study Needs Analysis 2011 – Auckland City
Raises more questions than it answers, but shows a Council trying to get their head around ways to plan for the future of venue provision in Auckland. Makes no qualitative or benchmarking assessments of existing provision, however, so is of limited use.
